JORDAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM
The Jordan national football team (Arabic: المنتخب الأردني لكرة القدم) represents Jordan in men’s international football and is governed by the Jordan Football Association (JFA). Jordan is a member of AFC (Asian Football Confederation) and FIFA, participating in both regional and international competitions.
Nicknamed Al-Nashama (“The Brave Ones”), the team plays its home matches primarily at Amman International Stadium in Amman. Jordan is known for its disciplined, tactical style of play and has earned a reputation as one of the competitive sides in West Asia.
Jordan has yet to qualify for a FIFA World Cup, but the team has had notable success in the AFC Asian Cup, reaching the quarter-finals in 2004 and consistently performing well in regional tournaments such as the Arab Cup and the WAFF Championship.
The national team continues to develop young talent through its youth teams, aiming to strengthen its presence in Asian football. Jordanian football is characterized by passionate supporters, strong team cohesion, and a growing domestic league that feeds players into the national team.
