Atlanta’s Mercedes‑Benz Stadium (renamed Atlanta Stadium for the event) will host eight matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup: five group-stage games, a Round of 32 match, a Round of 16 match, and a semifinal on July 15, 2026. With a capacity of around 71,000–75,000 and a retractable roof, the stadium is a world-class venue capable of handling large international crowds. Hosting a semifinal makes Atlanta one of the tournament’s key U.S. venues, supported by strong transportation, hospitality, and fan infrastructure.
