Thibaut Nicolas Marc Courtois is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Belgium national team. Born in 1992 in Bree, Belgium, Courtois began his youth career at Genk, where he quickly developed a reputation for his size, agility, and shot-stopping ability.

He made his professional debut with Genk, helping the club win the Belgian Pro League before moving to Chelsea in 2011. During his time in England, he was loaned to Atlético Madrid, where he won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and reached the UEFA Champions League final. Courtois then joined Real Madrid, winning multiple La Liga titles and the Champions League while solidifying his status as one of the world’s top goalkeepers.
