The team is governed by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), the country’s official football authority.

Brazil has been affiliated with FIFA since 1923 and was one of the founding members of CONMEBOL in 1916, helping establish the framework of South American international football. From 1946 to 1961, Brazil also participated in the Panamerican Football Confederation (PFC), a unified body for football across the Americas.

Renowned worldwide for its technical flair, creativity, and rich footballing culture, the Brazilian national team has become one of the most iconic symbols of the sport, with its colours and style instantly recognizable across the globe.
