UZBEKISTAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM

The Uzbekistan national football team (Uzbek: O‘zbekiston milliy futbol terma jamoasi) represents Uzbekistan in men’s international football and is governed by the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA). Uzbekistan is a member of AFC(Asian Football Confederation) and FIFA, competing in both Asian and global tournaments.

Nicknamed The White Wolves, the team plays its home matches primarily at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent. Uzbekistan is known for its disciplined, technical style of play, combining strong teamwork with tactical awareness.

Uzbekistan has consistently been a strong competitor in AFC competitions, reaching the AFC Asian Cup semi-finals in 2011 and frequently advancing to the knockout stages. While the team has yet to qualify for a FIFA World Cup, it remains one of Central Asia’s leading football nations.

The national team emphasizes youth development and the cultivation of talent through domestic leagues and football academies, producing players who compete both locally and internationally. Uzbek football is characterized by technical skill, tactical discipline, and a growing football culture, making the team a respected presence in Asian football.
