URUGUAY NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM
The Uruguay national football team (Spanish: Selección de fútbol de Uruguay) represents Uruguay in men’s international football and is governed by the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF; Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol). Uruguay is a member of CONMEBOL and FIFA, competing in both South American and global tournaments.
Nicknamed La Celeste (“The Sky Blue”), after their iconic sky-blue jerseys, the team plays its home matches primarily at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo.
