Nikola Vlašić born 4 October 1997) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Italian Serie A club Torino and the Croatia national team.

Career Path
  • Nikola Vlašić was born on 4 October 1997 in Split, Croatia.

  • He came through the youth academy system at first NK Omladinac Vranjic, then — from 2010 to 2014 — at Hajduk Split.

  • He made his senior debut for Hajduk Split in 2014 at about 16–17 years old.

  • From Hajduk, his career path went to Everton F.C. (England) in 2017.

  • After a brief time at Everton, he was loaned (2018–2019) — then permanently transferred — to CSKA Moscow(Russia).

  • In 2021 he signed for West Ham United (England), but spent limited time there.

  • In August 2022, he moved on loan to Torino F.C. (Italy, Serie A). The loan was later turned into a permanent transfer.

  • As of now (2025), he plays for Torino — club number 10 — in Serie A.

On the international stage:

  • Vlašić represented Croatia at various youth levels (U16, U17, U18, U19, U21).

  • He made his senior debut for the Croatia national football team on 27 May 2017 in a friendly match.

  • Since then he has become a regular in the national team squad.

Playing Style & Profile
  • Vlašić plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, but he is versatile: capable of playing centrally, on the wings, or supporting the forward line when needed.

  • He is known for good technical skill, creativity, and ability to score or assist — making him a potent offensive midfield presence rather than just a playmaker.

  • His playing style combines flair, agility, and the ability to impact the match offensively (goals and key passes) with midfield duties when required.

Achievements & Recognition
  • His breakout talent was recognized early: in 2014 he was named among the best young talents worldwide under his age group by a major publication.

  • During his time at CSKA Moscow, he was a highly productive offensive player — contributing many goals and assists; this earned him awards like “Player of the Year” honors in Russia in 2020.

  • For the national team: since debuting in 2017, he has been regularly called up and contributed in major tournaments and qualifiers.

  • At club level with Torino, he has become a key midfield figure, wearing the number 10 shirt and contributing steadily in Serie A since 2022
