Maxime Crépeau is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers and for the Canada national team.

Crépeau speaks French and English and comes from a sporting family—his aunt, Linda Brodeur, played volleyball, and his cousin, Geneviève Fraveau, competed in rowing. His father, Rémi Crépeau, was born in Québec City, while his mother, Huguette Brodeur, was born in Greenfield Park. He married Cristina Dagenais in December 2017. Crépeau began playing soccer at age seven in the Ligue de soccer pour enfants de Candiac.

Off the field, he enjoys music, television, and spending time with friends. Growing up, his favourite players and teams included Iker Casillas, Manchester United, Lyon, and the Montreal Impact. He also admired athletes from other sports, such as Mike Cammalleri, Roger Federer, and Carey Price, and he supported the Montreal Canadiens and the New Orleans Saints.

Internationally, he was part of Canada’s Concacaf-winning squad in the 2021–22 Concacaf Final Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and reached the semifinals at the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup. He represented Canada at one CONMEBOL Copa América, helping the team finish fourth at USA 2024, and earlier appeared at a FIFA youth tournament, playing for Canada at the U-17 World Cup in Mexico in 2011.
