Jonathan Osorio is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club Toronto FC, which he captains, and represents the Canada national team.

Osorio speaks English and Spanish and comes from a soccer-oriented family; his brothers Anthony and Nicholas are also involved in the sport. His father, Diego, was born in Cali, Colombia, while his mother, Bibiana, was born in Medellín, Colombia. At age seven, his family moved from Toronto to neighbouring Brampton. He began playing soccer at age four in the Toronto Futsal League and joined Brampton YSC at age 12. Osorio also grew up playing baseball and enjoys music and sports off the field. His favourite players growing up included Cesc Fàbregas, Diego Maradona, and Real Madrid, while he also followed Michael Jordan and the Los Angeles Lakers. On 20 December 2017, he was honoured with a Key to the City of Brampton by Mayor Linda Jeffrey.

Osorio holds the Toronto FC club record for most appearances and has been a mainstay for Canada internationally. He represented Canada at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, helped the team win the Concacaf Final Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (2021–22), earned a Concacaf Silver Medal in the 2022–23 Nations League, reached the semifinals of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, and contributed to Canada’s fourth-place finish at the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024.

He is known for his vision, passing ability, and leadership on the field, making him a central figure for both club and country.
