Alphonso Boyle Davies is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a left-back for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and captains the Canada national team. Widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world, Davies has earned the nickname “the Roadrunner” for his exceptional pace, dribbling ability, and creativity.

Davies speaks English. He was five years old when his family moved from Ghana to Windsor, Ontario, in 2006, before relocating to Edmonton, Alberta, a few months later. At age 14, he moved from Edmonton to Burnaby, British Columbia, to join the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency program. He became a Canadian citizen at age 16 on 6 June 2017, with the citizenship ceremony taking place in Vancouver.

Growing up, his favourite player was Lionel Messi, and he also followed teams and athletes in other sports, including the Golden State Warriors. Off the pitch, Davies has served as an ambassador for the Born To Be Soccer Academy and as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, using his platform to inspire and support communities.

Davies has received numerous individual honours, including:
