ichmond Mamah Laryea, known as Richie Laryea, is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a right-back or midfielder for Major League Soccer club Toronto FC and represents the Canada national team.

Laryea speaks English and comes from a soccer family; his brother, Reginald, is also involved in the sport. Both of his parents, Robert and Cynthia, were born in Accra, Ghana. He began playing soccer at age six with Club Uruguay Toronto. Growing up, his favourite player was Andrés Iniesta, and he supported FC Barcelona.

Internationally, Laryea has represented Canada at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, helped the team win the Concacaf Final Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (2021–22), earned a Concacaf Silver Medal in the 2022–23 Nations League, reached the semifinals of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, and contributed to Canada’s fourth-place finish at the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024.

At the club level, Laryea has played professionally in Canada, the United States, and England, gaining experience in multiple leagues. He is known for his pace, versatility, and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively from the right flank.

He was also part of the Canada Soccer team that met Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on 15 November 2021 during a surprise visit to a training session ahead of their FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match the following day in Edmonton.
